looking up VIN numbers

Im interested in a car in Germany and wondered if there is some place in Telsa we can turn to look up history based on Vin number
Has anyone any ideas about how you do this ?

Try looking on the USA Tesla site. I´ll Think you can find some list there showing roughly the VIN-logic and time of manufacturing and os. But it is not exactly knowledge since the VIn are not in logic order totally.

Maybe i just should send the VIN number to Tesla Service, its a car i am interested in sitting in Germany so interested in its service history

Typically Telsa doesn't give this information out. Possibly the current owner can get this information for you.

its a dealer (not tesla) so maybe and then again maybe not
